Globant Acquires Exusia in Strategic Expansion of AI Capabilities; Silver Family Reinforces Philanthropic Mission
September 2024
MIAMI — Globant, a digitally native company specializing in transforming businesses through technology, has announced the acquisition of Exusia, a U.S.-based consulting firm known for its expertise in artificial intelligence, data engineering, and cloud solutions. The transaction was completed on September 26, 2024, marking a strategic expansion of Globant’s capabilities in high-growth technology domains.
Founded in 2012 by Trevor Silver, Exusia has built a strong reputation delivering end-to-end data and analytics solutions across industries such as healthcare, logistics, financial services, and consumer products. The company employs approximately 400 professionals across delivery centers in the United States, India, and South Africa.
Globant executives described the acquisition as a key step in strengthening the firm’s position as a global leader in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. “Exusia is a great addition to Globant as we continue expanding our vision of becoming leaders in reinventing the industry,” said Martín Migoya, co-founder and CEO of Globant.
Strategic Fit and Growth Vision
Exusia’s deep capabilities in full lifecycle AI, cloud migration, and advanced analytics align closely with Globant’s existing service portfolio. The integration is expected to enhance innovation across both companies while delivering expanded solutions to enterprise clients worldwide.
The acquisition also strengthens Globant’s geographic footprint. By integrating Exusia’s operations, Globant gains a stronger presence in North America and expands its reach into South Africa, an emerging technology hub.
Trevor Silver, Exusia’s founder and CEO, will remain with the organization along with his management team and employees, ensuring continuity of leadership and expertise.
“Globant came to us at the perfect time as we were looking to scale and expand our core offerings to clients,” Silver said in a statement at the time of the announcement.
A New Chapter for Exusia
Following the acquisition, Exusia will operate as part of Globant’s global structure, contributing to the company’s growing Data and AI practice. The move reflects increasing demand among enterprises for advanced analytics, machine learning, and cloud-based solutions to support digital transformation initiatives across industries.
Exusia’s longstanding partnerships with major technology platforms—including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and Google Cloud—are expected to further enhance Globant’s ecosystem and service delivery capabilities.
Silver Family Retains Focus on Philanthropy
Parallel to the corporate transaction, founder Trevor Silver and his wife Andrea Silver have retained stewardship of the Exusia & Silver Children’s Foundation, a philanthropic initiative originally established to support early-stage child development, education, and broader social impact efforts.
As part of this transition, the foundation will be rebranded as the “Silver Lining Children’s Foundation,” reflecting an independent mission beyond the corporate structure of Exusia and Globant.
The foundation’s mission has focused on improving the lives of underserved communities, particularly children, through partnerships with nonprofit organizations and volunteer initiatives. Its programs have included educational outreach, health and hygiene awareness efforts, and community engagement activities.
Balancing Growth and Social Impact
The dual developments underscore a broader trend among technology entrepreneurs: pairing rapid business growth with structured philanthropic engagement. While Exusia transitions into its next phase as a division of Globant, the Silver family’s continued involvement in charitable initiatives signals a sustained commitment to social responsibility.
Industry observers view the acquisition as mutually beneficial—combining Globant’s global scale with Exusia’s specialized expertise—while allowing its founder to maintain a personal focus on long-term philanthropic impact.
Looking Ahead
As Globant integrates Exusia into its global operations, the combined organization is positioned to accelerate innovation in artificial intelligence and data-driven transformation. At the same time, the separation and rebranding of the philanthropic arm highlights how corporate milestones can coexist with evolving personal and social missions.
Together, these developments mark a defining moment in Exusia’s journey—transitioning from a fast-growing independent firm into part of a global technology leader, while preserving its founder’s legacy of purpose-driven impact beyond the corporate sphere.
